Women's Health Canada

Often a comparison between Canada and the US is made regarding the health care systems. For two countries to be so close together, the US and Canada have different systems, which can be further broken down by discussing women's health Canada. In the 60's and 70's Canada began a reform of their health care system, changing its similarities with the US forever. Despite the changes the US spends more on health care than Canada, even for Women's Health Canada care.

One of the reasons for this is due to how the Canadians are cared for. One medical journal regarding women's health Canada stated that women have a higher life expectancy in Canada due to the superior patient care. The study also revealed some drawbacks in women's health Canada.

Even though life expectancy is up and on the whole patient care is much better in women's health Canada care, it takes time. Like much of Europe and the UK, Canada has a free system of healthcare. People can be seen for any reason regarding any issue without having to pay. There are certain times when payment is needed such as those who must get health insurance for a special condition. However, on the whole less is spent on health care because the physicians care about treating the patients and the government picks up the tab.

Some Canadians have complained about the time it takes to see a specialist. For example if someone has cancer it can still take months to get to a specialist and get treatment started. The US does have the advantage of immediate response, but the Americans also pay highly for this privilege. A medical condition in the US that is not life threatening can take much longer, like a month or two, before a specialist is called in.

No one country has found the perfect solution, not even women's health Canada systems. However, with women's health Canada having a child is easier financially on the family, as are other medical care needs for women based on the government system. To improve the health care more hospitals are needed in Canada's remoter regions.
