There are many areas of the world where women simply do not have access to the information to teach them about the sexual function of their bodies. Women's health centers can change this lack of social justice.
Women have the right to be equal members of society, and they have the right to proper medical attention in safe environments that can offer trust and a sense of empowerment and compassion from individuals that do not judge. Women's health centers are a necessary service to help remove the restraints that remain in many traditions, beliefs and cultures.
Women will find that they are treated with equality. There is no stigma or discrimination in the offering of services for the betterment of health in women at women's health centers. Every woman is equal no matter what her race, religion, age, language, choice of sexual partners or body size is. We often see the sign "Equal opportunity employer." Well, the women's health centers are the "Equal Treatment Providers."
Women's health centers provide a place where a request for a test for a sexually transmitted disease is not shameful, uncomfortable or awkward. No medical condition is ever a reason for a woman to be too intimidated by scorn to attempt to receive treatment.
