Women's Health Expo

The women's health expo began in 2000 in New York State and has continued to grow each year. The expo presents traditional medical practices as well as alternative health practices. They offer cooking exhibitions, fitness demonstrations, as well as seminars and workshops. The focus of each women's health expo is how to prevent illnesses, learn what to do if you have an illness especially if it is chronic and many other elements of staying healthy throughout our lives.

At a recent women's health expo there were more than one hundred and fifty booths or exhibits. Some of them included free health screenings and private consultations with specialists. Authors of some of the top books on women's health were on hand to sign copies and discuss their books. Spa treatments were available for relaxation as well as seminars on relaxation techniques, stress reduction and aromatherapy.

An art gallery was also on the premises of the women's health expo in case they wanted to take home something from the expo besides advice, brochures and books. Food demonstrations from area chefs complemented the healthy eating food court that was on site at the women's health expo. Everyone connected with the expo is dedicated to helping women achieve optimum health throughout their lives.

Women are the primary care givers for their families, so another purpose of the women's health expo was to give all women a chance to take care of themselves. Women created this expo for women, and it is truly all about women keeping fit and fabulous. The initial and continuing goals of the women's health expo are to provide a healthier lifestyle with balance. This enables women of any age to see the importance of taking care of themselves.

A great emphasis has been placed on preventing illness and disease, and at the women's health expo they show you ways to achieve it. The expo teaches women to love their bodies while working to keep it fit and healthy. This opportunity comes along once a year, so make plans to attend the next women's expo on health. Live the life you want as a healthy adult.
