Women's Health Partnership
It is not uncommon today for doctors and their patients to form a women's health partnership. Indeed, many female gynecologists set up their practices with a women's health partnership in mind. This type of practice gives women a sense of belonging and a sense that their problems will be understood better. Women are often less embarrassed to describe a health issue when talking with another woman, so a women's health partnership is a great idea.
A women's health partnership can bring their patients together for a health expo right in their offices to explain the latest techniques in medicine, provide health screenings at a time when more women are likely to be able to attend, or to have a flu shot clinic. They may offer natural child birth classes for their OB patients so that they can have a more comfortable delivery.
Some women's health expos that are put together by a women's health partnership may be larger than an office can hold. In a case such as this they may collaborate with other health professionals to hold the expo in a larger facility. Then it can include private health screenings, exhibits where exercise and healthy recipes can be presented and advice on child care.
Other aspects of a women's health partnership can address how a woman can find time to take care of herself. Most women are the care givers in the family and many fail to take good care of themselves. So their health partnership with their doctor could include ways to treat themselves that don't take away from the family yet make a big difference in everyday life, like simple ways to introduce relaxation into their daily routine that allows the woman time to reconnect and rejuvenate.
Women's health partnerships can also send out newsletters to their patients through emails or text messaging. This allows a busy woman to keep up with the latest medical news in gynecology, schedule an appointment or voice their concerns through a website forum. These partnerships are taking good care of all women through positive interaction, relaying knowledge and forming lasting bonds.
