The word sugar is derived from an Arabic and Persian word 'Shakar' and 'Sharkhara' from Sanskrit. The word sugar itself gives a feeling of sweetness. Carbohydrates components naturally available in food are said to be sugar and the presence of which necessitates the purpose of the body organ nerves and muscles. As they are at bottom line on the glycemic index they are considered as sugar alcohols and which is another basis of sugar. It is always better to be cautious when it matters with food as health should always be given preference. Another substitute of sugar is Stevia plant, well it's not derived from sugar but the leaves are sweet and as sweet as sugar. On the other hand it is used to sweeten tea or coffee.

North America surveys have given the evidence that the average citizen consumes nearly hundred pounds of sugar annually, but cannot be sure as some part of the sugar is installed in processed and sophisticated products. Elevated amount of sugar ultimately may drag to devastating physical conditions. Diabetes is a live cited example, and is becoming more ubiquitous and a huge worry to the health care trade. Surplus sugar overloads the body, accelerates the pancreas and insists for insulin and in the end gets stored as fat. Fluctuations of sugar has a parallel effect on insulin, and thus insulin fluctuation risk high chances for a damaging an artery and finally leads the diabetic cardiovascular failure in addition to tooth decay and many more.
