How To Make Italian Spaghetti

Lean ground beef

Onion, chopped

1/2 Cup

Mushrooms, sliced

1 Clove

Garlic, crushed

1/2 Large

Green pepper, sliced

2 Cups

Tomatoes, canned

Thyme, crushed

Parsley chopped

Oregano, crushed

1 1/2 Teaspoons

Brown sugar

Water

8 Ounces

Raw spaghetti

1/4 Cup

Parmesan cheese, grated

  1. In a heavy pan or Dutch oven, combine the meat, onion, mushrooms and garlic. Cook until meat is browned and onion is tender. Skim off excess fat.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except the spaghetti and cheese. Simmer uncovered for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Prepare spaghetti according to package instructions.
  4. Serve the sauce over the hot spaghetti and sprinkle each serving with 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
