Nutritional Information On Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Nutrition information per serving:

1 1/4 Cups

All-purpose flour

1/2 Cup

Whole wheat flour

1 Teaspoon

Baking soda

1/4 Teaspoon

Salt

1/2 Cup

Brown sugar

1/4 Cup

Vegetable oil

Egg

1 Cup

Ripe bananas, mashed

1 Teaspoon

Vanilla extract

Vegetable cooking spray

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Stir well and set aside.
  2. Combine sugar and oil in a medium bowl, beat until well blended. Add egg and beat until light and lemon coloured.
  3. With mixer running at low speed, add flour mixture alternately with bananas, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Blend well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Pour batter into an 8 x 4 x 2 inch loafpan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick, inserted in centre, comes out clean.
  5. Cool 15 minutes in pan on wire rack, remove from pan and let cool completely on wire rack before slicing.
