Weight Loss Program Review
With the number of weight loss programs, out there it is hard to decide which one will be the best for you. Reading a few reviews about a few different weight loss programs may help you make a final decision. Americans spend upwards of $30 billion dollars a year on weight loss plans and products. Weight loss does not have to cost you anything if you just make a few lifestyle changes.
Weight loss does not need to feel like a chore. There are diet plans for every different body type as well. To maximize your weight loss program you need to incorporate a regular exercise regimen into your day. You can get free and low cost client support, or you can have your meals delivered and can expect to pay around $200 a week for these diet meals.
Weight loss plans like Weight Watchers can offer you support and encourage you to prepare healthy meals at home. Other weight loss plans like Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem will prepare your meals for you and deliver them to your home. With these pre-packaged meal plans, you are supposed to ear only their meals and snacks. They are designed to reduce your intake of carbohydrates and refined sugar and concentrate on proteins.
Weight loss plans like the Atkins diet, will cut your carbohydrate intake to 20 grams a day for about 2 weeks then you are allowed to raise it to 5 grams a day as long as you are still losing at least 1 to 2 pounds a week. Another well-known diet called The South Beach Diet places a lot more emphasis on avoiding saturated fats and lean meats.
People with heart health issues should avoid diet plans that are low-carb but allow more fat. The South Beach Diet though may be exactly what a woman with polycystic ovarian syndrome needs because of the insulin resistance. Make sure you speak with your general health care provider before starting any diet plan. You can also speak with a dietician or nutritional coach about how much weight loss you plan to lose and what diet plans they may recommend.
You may want to use the support system some of these diet plans offer to encourage you when you are feeling low because of a rough patch you have hit on your diet expedition. The Mayo Clinic encourages you to eat foods you can maintain without depriving yourself. They have also modified the USDA food pyramid to include more fruits and vegetables so the majority of your diet does not come from carbohydrates.
